Bomb squad called and road closed after ‘suspicious package’ found in Blackpool

Bolton Street, between Alexandra Road and Crystal Road, was closed after officers searched a house at around 2.50am today (November 26).

A suspicious package and a shotgun, believed to be an imitation, was seized by police during the raid, resulting in the property being evacuated.

Several roads in the area have now been cordoned off and police are urging residents to avoid the area.
