Celebrity Big Brother welcomed Linda Nolan to the show in 2014
One of Lancashire’s most famous singers have lifted the lid on her time on Celebrity Big Brother after the show’s return was confirmed.
Big Brother’s return was hinted at during a Love Island ad break, with the iconic theme tune blasted into living rooms across the country in what was certain to be a nostalgia hit for thousands.
The show is confirmed to be making a return via ITV, with Celebrity Big Brother host Rylan taking to social media unable to hide his excitement for the show.

And now Linda Nolan, of the world famous music group The Nolans, has revealed all about her 22-day stint on the Celeb version of the show.
Writing for LancsLive’s sister title the Express, Linda revealed some fine details about how her experience went.
“I endured a 22-day stint in the House which for good or for ill, put me back on the map,” Linda, who lives in Blackpool, says. She revealed she got the call for CBB while shopping in her local Tesco unable to decide on which pizza to buy.
The call came three months after the Nolan family tragically lost Bernie, with Linda describing the call as “the most wonderful surprise in every possible way”. An avid watcher of both formats of the show, Linda thought about Coleen’s appearance on the show a year before her when she finished second.
Nerves set in, Linda says, especially at the thought of Big Brother able to change rules at any point during the show.
The big day came on New Year’s Day 2014 with Linda moved to a holding hotel on the outskirts of north London to ensure the line-up wasn’t leaked. She took a taxi from Blackpool with the code name ‘Lamb Chop’ to confirm her ID to the taxi driver.

“Following their instructions to the letter, I was scanning my street suspiciously as I stepped into the back seat of the black limousine. Goodness knows why I did that though. It was New Year’s Day morning in Blackpool and the place was deserted after everyone had been out on the town the previous night,” Linda says.
Linda famously entered the house in a bright red cape with faux fur that quickly got the attention of those using social media.
“There was no way I wasn’t going to be noticed,” Linda says. “That cape went viral on social media with people wondering if it was designer and where it was from. It was £10.99 from a shop in Blackpool!”
