Police have been made aware of the incident and enquiries are ongoing
A woman was kicked in the face on a train travelling from Blackpool North station. Police met the train on arrival at Preston Station following the incident, which took place yesterday morning (April 5).
According to British Transport Police, officers were called after reports of an assault as it approached Kirkham and Wesham station. The victim was allegedly kicked by another woman, who then left the train at Kirkham and Wesham station.
After being made aware of the incident, BTP met the train on arrival at Preston. CCTV enquiries remain ongoing.
A force spokesperson said: “A woman was assaulted on a train yesterday morning by another female (stranger) as the ex-#BlackpoolNorth service approached #KirkhamAndWesham (where the suspect alighted).
“The assault included being kicked in the face. We met the train in at Preston and #CCTV enquiries ongoing.”
